gday all. just came across this site today.
im a vol in the eastern suburbs of Victoria, Australia.

Saw some amazing pictures and stories from the Black Saturday 2009 fires, amazing!
How was your 2010 summer fire season?

our 2009-10 season was really quiet a few fires but they were all jumped on quickly.

ours started early, had a few big wildfires and the biggest was about 40hectares that took about 3 days to knock down plus a further week or two of spot fire clean up. Had the massive water bombers come fly over a few times, so awesome to watch those guys work!
Since then its been quiet (fingers crossed) on the fire side but busy on the rescue side with motor vehicle accidents and stuff.
