Mike's birthday this weekend everyone
So wish him a happy birthday
Mike is leaving to spend the weekend with some firefighter friends at a lake that's about three hours driving time from his house (Paso Robles / Lake Naciemento). This should be a good chance for him to decompress, deal with turning 55 and spend time with good friends.
He will talk to you all next week. His post should become interesting considering he's back on the floor! Engine 18, here he comes!

Someone sent me a birthday moon... how thoughtful!
Hi everyone! Thanks so much for honoring me with birthday wishes. It's the big double nickles for me which means I'm that much closer to retirement... : ) I have not had much time this week to spend on the FFN because this was my last week working as a Logistics Captain in staff on a light duty assignment / post knee surgery. I go back to my fire station next Tuesday and already have a busy schedule teaching the department FRO class. I'll be sure to take pictures and make a training thing for my FFN buds.
