Isn't that one of the questions on the grant app, about coming up with your portion of the money ??? You must have said yes, if you got rewarded with a grant !!!!

The first place would be go to your City Council, or your County Commissioners. The second would be your citizens. Have fundraisers specifically for the truck. Let the public know how this apparatus is going to help your department help them. With the wildfire season we just had, let them know how important it is to have the water. Saturate your response area with flyers and word of mouth.

I would recommend in the future, giving a little forethought about funding sources before applying for a grant. Especially if it is through the Texas Forest Service, as it could be 2-3 years after applying before you are awarded the funds.

yes but what u dont understand theres politics involved to where the county does not want to help us in the 10% for the rest of the money to get the truck...and that is getting investigated now...they even took away us having fundraisers to get the 10%

there has been responses every to where the community is upset becuz of issues of the county telling us wat to do and wat not to do...and not even let try to make a fundraiser to make the 10% we have given it thought i just recently found out about the chemical plants around here that donate money for volunteer fire dept i am going to check into i am not giving up
