The City of Alexandria, Virginia has a new fire station built into a apartament building. The building is low rent for city workers consisting of firefighters, ems workers, police officers and school teachers.

  The lower section of the building is the fire station with four bays in the center with 15 single occupancy bedrooms, offices, kitchen, dining area, tv area, workshop, laundry and storage rooms.

 The four floors above the station consist of 64 apartments.

Pic of the belly-up project I was talking about earlier. 39 stories. FS located in the lower right hand corner. 12,000 sq. ft.. As I said, the City was going to get this for the $450/mo HOA fees. The project is still listed on the drawing board, but......

Kentland was the dept that wanted to build the apartment building behind their station.
One station near Kentland bought all the property around their station because of all the money they got from vagas games that depts ran for a while. They bought the whole block.
That was Bladensburg VFD.
