I just bought a pair last week, and LOVE them!!! They feel like your wearing Tennis Shoes. Other than the price, they are the best Boots I have ever had! Has anyone ever had any type of problems with them?

Get mine along with my nice new black gear at the end of this month!
When they are new you want to size them "snug". They will loosen and break in quickly with a little use. They come with a 1/2 size insert, I put mine in after about 30 hrs of wear time to take away the loose fit.

If you start out with much room I think you will be disapointed when they are to big after break-in.
I left the regular insoles in due to the fact of them stretching, once they strech out, time for the snug insoles!!!!! :)
i agree with everybody they are awesome and chad yur exactly right they do feel like tennis shoes. i have one question hopefully somebody will know an answer, is there a conditioner or anything to use to keep the leather from drying out? im on a small volunteer dept and we dont run many calls so its not like im wearing them all time i didnt know if anyone has had any problems along that line
The only thing I read was to wash them down w/soap and water. I was wondering the same thing. One question is, I wonder if the conditioner has anything that is combustable. I'll have to do some research.
We issued these to our firefighters. They have all given great comments such as yours. They have worn them now for 8 months.
I've been to the Globe web site and I see that they have a wide calf model as well as wide and extra wide widths any one have any experience there? Also I've been happy with how my current rubber boots hold the warmth in the cold, have any of you that normally live in deep snow/cold country have any experience there?
I just got a pair and i like them sofar. only wore them twice they are in my spair gear
I have Warrington 5006-somethings and Globes. I agree the Globes do feel lighter, and are the most comfortable boot I've ever put on. However the only problem I personally have found is long duration wear.

After spending several hours in them on actual incidents and during evolutions at the fire training center, I found them to be less supportive than the Warringtons. In other words, fatigue. Kinda like wearing a sneaker on a construction job site after awhile...like KEDS, with little support. They do offer extra insets, but I still found the same situation.

But for average daily use, in and out half dozen, dozen times a day with some average work thrown in, they do beat out everything else.

My opinion of course.
ilive in ny and my leather globes warm up way quicker if they are cold than rubber and i havent had any problem with them keeping my feet warm
Abosutely love my GLOBES!!!! They are by far the most comfortable. With my rubber boots they would get uncomfortable especially if we were on a call for several hours.Today, feet don't bother me and when I walk,I don't have the boots banging my shins. Was able though to keep my rubber boots....they are my "slop"boots for washing trucks, hose or any other crappy job we have to do at the station.
Thanks brother,
Ithaca definitely qualifies for the cold and snow category.
