FD Theme Restaurants
Is there or has there ever been a FD theme restaurant in your area? I can remember in Ocean City, MD a fire dept theme grill and bar which had the back end of a ambulance for the front door, firefighter video game, anything related to the fire service through out the place. They even had patches from different fire depts around the state and other places. The next year when I went back the place was gone and a parking lot took its place.
One major fast food franchise thats moving around the country is Firehouse Subs. I have found one of the stores in Fairfax County, VA near a movie theater. I looked inside and the place has the FD items on the wall and the company was started by firefighters.
This company is looking for franchises in more areas of the country.

here in mich. we have a bar and grill called the engine house and its owend by a few detroit firefighters and is loaded with old gear and pics

Well I found out the restaurant that disappeared from Ocean City, MD was the Firehouse Tavern.
There is a bar that the firefighters hangout in which is the Cork Bar Wicomico Street and Boardwalk.
The restaurant that opened outside Ocean City is Station 7 Restaurant which is the Pittsville VFD's old station which is next door to the new station.

The firehouse in Colorado springs co. It's on Colorado ave just past Colorado springs station 5. It's a smokehouse the owner isn't a firefighter but is very interested in what we do and is looking for all the fire shirts and patches he can get his hands on. Oh by the way very good food too.

I am a huge fan of Capt. Heath Scurfield (Calli Bakers Firehouse Bar & Grill) .
Sometimes Corporate bullies...like the Firehouse Subs Founders posing as caring Firefighters and/or genuine supporters of ALL Firefighters require a stand-up, gutsy guy like Capt. Scurfield to rightly black the Firehouse Subs Corporate eye!!

Unfortunately I am certain by facts Firehouse Subs (the Founders) lawsuits are way out of order (MERITLESS OR UNFIT).

FHS actions are MUCH more harmful or damaging to some Firefighters and the Fire Service then "vollies vs paid" as stated below.
I have to admit, the Founders sure know how to use a legal pike pole on some firefighters and/or small business around the nation.

The Founders, Chris and Robin Sorensen along with thier lawyers hurt many people nationwide by their aggressive actions. Go figure real Firefighters are to PROTECT lives & property! Sickening behavior to me. The Founders clearly demonstrate they largely have forgotten their FD roots (greed/control) by their Corp lawsuits;however, FHS does give to the FD who are in need of and who well-deserve equipment. It should be noted, those "donations" are a BIG Tax Shelter (Tax Deductable 30/50%) for them (Firehouse Subs) BUT the FD benefits...so that is VERY good!
Why not buy FD support or FD friends nationwide if you can afford to do so! Makes complete business sense. Right FHS?
THEN...sue anyone else nationwide (small businesses, some owned by firefighters) if they use Firefighter artifacts, logos or the name ("firehouse"). That is Corporate America. BUT that is NOT the Fire Service (honor/ethics)!
It could be seen that Firehouse Subs Founders has the FD / Firefighters back...but some who want a restaurant / bar business using FD artifacts and/or the word "firehouse" may not want to bend over with them (the Founders) back there!!!
