Famous Sports Quotes and Motivational Words

I see the popularity of a couple of games on here right now, Jeopardy and the Word Game. Both of them are fun and interesting. There is definitly some creativity that goes into some of the responses.

Anywho, I have a whitboard here in the office. I put little motivational quotes on it. I was thinking of lets do a "Favorite Sports Quote or Motivational Saying."

We have all heard of the old "Let's win one for the Gipper." So one person will post the saying then the next poster has to say who said it. So the next poster would answer, "Knute Rockne." Then they get to post a quote and so on.

I'll start us off-
Who said "Motivation is simple, you get rid of those that are not motivated."

When I was a much younger man, during times when I was not conducting myself in a manner in which my father approved of, he would say to me: "Boy, if you don't (fill in the blank), I am gonna cloud up and rain on you". I always found that particularly motivating!!!

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
