The department in my town is starting an explorer program. I am looking for ideas for a shirt. Post a picture of yours so I can get some ideas. Thanks.
Our Juniors have the same shirt as our Firefighters...except it is Traffic Cone Orange instead of blue. It's easy to spot them and there's no way they're going to be able to "bluff" their way onto a scene they're not supposed to be at with an orange shirt.
The explorer post I worked with as a coordinator wore a US Air Force light blue uniform shirt for special events or meetings and light blue T-shirts for other things. The unfiorm shirts had the scouting patches for the area and the post numbers. Fire dept juniors wear the same shirts as the rest of the crew, but are ID by a red helmet on calls. They also carry county ID cards and PAT tags for the fireground.
Hi Austin,
Here are 2 files of what we are using for the Erskine Academy Fire Core, a JFF program based out of our local High School under the guidance of China Maine VFD!
We use the B&W image on Neon green shirts for functions and used the black and gold on hoodies.
I am a member of two posts. Both shirts have the exact same logos as the fire department that runs them. The one I got started with had everything just like the FF t-shirt except it was light blue and said explorer instead of FF. The other one is very similar it is just Navy Blue. Both posts use a navy blue button up shirt for events and dress occasions. and a FD patch on the appropriate arm. Look at your FD's shirts make them blue and label them EXPLORER and you should be good.
well, cant really say that im an explorer/junior, seeing as im 19 and have passed the TCFP State exam for firefighting. At the department i volunteer at, even the rookies wear the same uniform as the rest of the crew.
