Here we are at fire school and just got to wondering how many firefighter nation folks might be here?? I am taking a pump maintance class. So far it has been pretty good. We have instructors from Hale Pumps, Darley Pumps, Waterous Pumps & a rep giving a class on valves from Akron Brass. We also had a class today on foam system maintaince with instructors from Hale, Darley, Foam Pro and Tim and Carol Rowe of Rowe Industries ( www.cafssystems.com ).
If you are here tell us about your class, pros and cons, I would really like to hear from ya!!

Up in the panhandle 100 miles east and a little south of Amarillo.
You mean the infamous Hall of Shame....LOL.... I have been to Texas A & M for FF1, FF2, Fire Instructor 1, and Propane Emergencies Specialist Class. I loved everyone of them. I am in New Jersey right now on training or I would be there for more training in the municipal school this year. Have a blast and enjoy yourself. Hope it isn't too hot this time around.
see now i did not want to call it the hall of shame..........lmaf but damn have had some good times there
i'm 45 minutes south of houston right on the gulf freeport lake jackson area
No doubt the Hall of Fame (shame) is one of the most memorable or maybe the most not memorable LOL but you cant forget the Dixie Chicken (kinda figured our northern friends would get a kick out of the name)
does have a great southern name

I was looking into moving to Texas Iahve lived in Alaska most of my live, and I am new to the fire service not quit a year in, I am getting my EMT 1 now and got my state FF1 cert. in May. I am half way done with my Fire science degree at University of Alaska Fairbanks . Anyone want to answer some question?

FF1 - 1984
FF2 - 1986
Fire Insp. 1 - 1987 (got the call for my job while I was going to that class)
Confined Space Rescue - 1990

There are guys/girls at A&M right now that werent born when I went the first time. And yeah we did the Hall of Shame, Dixie Chicken, and Dudley's Draw when Iwas there.
