Ready to Go!!!

Hi everyone. I am on my way to the Fire Academy Feb 25th. What Advice or words of wisdom do you have for a newbie?

Listen to what you are told..do what you are told to do the first time.. study when you can, work out when you can..learn what it means to be a TEAM..and most important.. if you dont know something, ASK!! most of all tho..good luck and welcome to the firefighting brother/sisterhood!!

Make sure you understand what the instructor has to say. You will work with a bunch of people so get use to that, you will do that the rest of your career. Do the best job you can and help your fellow firefighter out when need be. Some will catch on really quich and others not so much. It will be a great learning expierience for you, and once in a life time event.
