what should i expect?

im a junior in high school and want to become an emt after high school. how do i really go about this? i already know where i can take the courses but really what should i expect in this career? any suggestions or anything will be very helpful.

Stay grounded and have a life outside of EMS and more imporant, find yourself a mentor you can go to for advice!

My advise is to volunteer in the ER first and learn to be around patients. It will tell you in 1 shift if you really want to do this.

Remember, it's an addiction and has no 12 step program. You can never go back once bitten. Just hang on for the ride......slide in on the skin of your pants and dont forget to breathe or scream whooooooooaaaaaaaaaa!

thats what im doing but i grad this year im taking night classes in the fall its exspensive here in tn but i think its worth it i love to help people
