For working alarms we 10 minute warnings. I now why they do that it....can you guess why? There are 2 reasons.

I asked this question because listening to the radio people seem to forget the reason Fireboard, call board, etc tell us we're at the 10 min mark, 20 mins etc.

What makes you think people have seemed to forgot the reasoning?

We call them time checks here and for the most part are a guideline. Most incidents after a couple time checks, the IC will tell dispatch to stop the time checks, for a variety of reasons. The main reasons for the checks have been mentioned or at least touched on. For instance knowing you are at say 20 minutes and rotated crews a few times and the fire is still going, you probably would want the next alarm. Also, the longer the fire is burning the weaker the structure gets, meaning interior attacks may not be a viable option, etc.
