  Good morning! How are we faithing? Being careful what we say, how we say it and where we speak is a matter of wisdom and anointing from God. To many times I hear platitudes used when not appropriate but that guy feels he has to say something. We as men tend to try to be right on everything and what is dangerous is some of us think we are when we are not. Guys naturally want to lead and to fix and it just hurts us when we are wrong. That is a bad way to be guys and very dangerous. You have to always be right to feel good about yourself and when you admit you missed one then you beat yourself up. How egotistical. Get over yourself and seek the Lord. Watch yer mouth boys. Don't let it lead you but you lead it with wisdom from God's Word.

Col 4:6
 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Eph 4:26-30
 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Heavenly Father,
   Thank you for wisdom we find in your Word.  Help us be pleaded with our accomplishments but humble knowing without you we would be nothing. Lord we lift your name higher than ourselves to remind us to be salt and light in this world. Teach us to walk with our eyes wide open to see you in everything. In Jesus name, amen

 Good morning! How are we faithing? Amazingly, people still ignore God.Some still think their life begins and ends with themselves. They think they are in control when in fact they are being controlled. Just because one is doing as they wish doesn't define their control but rather they are being controlled by dark forces of the air. It's hard to explain to some because the enemy has convinced them they are masters of their own destiny when in fact they fall for the same ploy satan has used since the garden. Vanity and selfishness leads people like a horses bit. The things that keep one away from full pardon are the same things that convinces one they are free when they do whatever they wish when they are damning themselves. Man, hurts my heart to see this over and over so I have to try to show the light of God. I wont point at infractions but to Jesus. I have to show Jesus for if I do not I am guilty of sinning against YOU as well as God.

Isa 46:9  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Isa 46:10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Isa 46:11  Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isa 60:2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Isa 60:3  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Heavenly Father,
   Thank you for pardon and revealing your majesty to us. We ask for enlightenment and your presence constantly. We ask for wisdon to not cause pain but to show you. Bless those who seek your face. Show them you are real. in Jesus name, amen

  Good morning! How are we faithing?  New year resolutions aren't worth a thing if they are forgotten by February. Why do we do them? Why do we set ourselves up for failure? Why would we step into an agreement knowing we can't produce what we are promising? Because everyone likes a new start. Everyone likes the idea of starting over and an arbitrary date like January 1 is as good and any.  Here's some advice from the old fat guy. Don't do it unless you are committed. Don't set yourself up for failure. Don't put yourself in a position that the enemy can beat you down for that failure. Here is what I suggest; write down what you would like to achieve. Record the things you need to do for you and others and be realistic and honest. If you need help with a bad habit, get help, professional if necessary. Don't be embarrassed or at least let embarrassment hinder progress. You are not the only one facing what you are facing. Christians, don't hide your junk. We don't go to church or profess Christ because we are perfect but rather we recognize just how screwed up we are. Live what you believe and let God sort the fallout. Move your focus off people and onto God. What someone else says or thinks about you has no bearing on your life or death. God is what matters. You can't change their minds anyways and lets be frank, their opinion simply has no effect on your life unless you let it. As believers in Jesus we need to serve because we love him and salvation is by him and nothing else. You are gonna slip up. You are gonna fail occasionally so what are you gonna do? Deny it? Hide it or face it head on? I have to remind myself that some people are gonna think ill of me, heck man, they killed Jesus so why would it surprise me if I choose to follow his lead thus I will face ill will too...

Jas 1:19-25
  Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love and grace. Help us be wise and courageous as we try to improve. Help us recognize change may take time and lessons need to be learned along the way. We lift those up that are hurting physically, emotionally and spiritually. Help us work through these things this year. Help us be better examples of your grace, in Jesus name, amen

   Good morning! How are we faithing? It is amazing what we let rule our lives. Whether material things or emotional things or even intellectual things, we let things in that we ought to be wary of.  Entertaining thought that are outside the realm of God such as ghosts and goblins, UFO's and abductions, fables of other gods. These things may be something other than what they are portrayed. Could ghosts be satanic apparitions? Could UFOs be the same? Could other gods be be simply a retelling of Biblical stories or perhaps again, demonic forces? We were slaves to sin before salvation and I think along with being slaves to sin we may have brought on a whole bunch of beliefs and thoughts into this righteous pardoned state we now enjoy. We need to compare things to the Bible.   I think we can find all the same things went on before but were described through eyes of the time. Question things. Ask what could be the purpose of things compared to the Word. Remind yourself you no longer are slaves to past ideas but rather slave to the truth which leads to righteousness.

Rom 6:17-19
  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.  Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.  I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Heavenly Father,
 Lord we ask for clarity when things are twisted and presented. Help us not be fooled by worldly thinking or influences. Grant us wisdom to see truth through all the fog of deceit. Lord we bless you and adore you. Grant blessings on us as we witness for you, in Jesus name, amen

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Dealing with people who are different than one'self can be taxing if we don't realize that difference is better than lock step conformity. Sure a dozen roses are beautiful but a big batch of wild flowers is so much more colorful. For my car buddies the analogy would be if we all drove gray Fusions instead of multicolored Mustangs. The Mustang herd is much more entertaining. We as followers of Christ must approach people not with an attitude of getting in line with ourselves but presenting Jesus and God will use their qualities his way. To many times churches try to mold everyone into one image other than Jesus. It's a dangerous place to be to think you are what is right and everyone who doesn't look like you is off beat. Look, I like red cars and you like blue ones. I like Fender, you like Gibson. I like oldies, you like hip hop. So what? Is one holier than the other? Is one better? Of course all mine are the best, right? Don't get all balled up in things that take away from the grace of Christ and add more rules that Jesus never taught, just saying....

1Co 12:1-12
  Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.  Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

remember the Henry family...

Heavenly Father,
  Help us conform to you. Help us realize our gifts and act accordingly. Lead us on the path you have for us. Grant us wisdom and discernment to recognize where you are working in others so we may encourage them and not cause undue pain and hardship on them them. Bless our leaders, bless the Henry family, lead us to our knees humbly , honorably and in your grace. Come quick Lord, in Jesus name, amen

   Good morning! How are we faithing? Sometimes things in our past crop up and blindside us. For me recently it was a memory of my son that passed and let me tell you, it was a struggle not to lose it all over again. You know whats even worse? Our enemy the devil and his henchmen know this and attack. Now we can respond to the attacks in a bad way or a good way. We can succumb to the wiles of the devil or not. We must be vigilant and always aware that our adversary roams around seeking who he can whip. Even Jesus prayed and quoted scripture because he knew satan has rule on earth or he couldn't have offered kingdoms to Jesus if he would bow down. That being said I have to always be aware and quick to pray. My response to attacks will indeed have an effect. I suppose I will always grieve over the loss of a son but I will not allow satan to use it to ruin me. I must stay prayed up. I must be quick to ask Jesus for help. I must study the Word so I can even recognize when I am under attack. How do you respond to those attacks? Hit the ground quivering like a salted slug? Lash out in anger or fear? Blame outside influences on your mood or demeanor? Step back, pause, pray, praise God because we have been warned that this exact thing will happen.

 1Pe 5:8-9
  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Eph 6:13-18
  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

remember Ross and the doctors....remember our leaders...remember those grieving...
Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for saving us. Thank you for always being with us. We ask for wisdom and courage to face each day. Bring your Word to mind when we are under attack. Help us be your servants and witness of yours. Please wake this country up to what has gone down so we all can repent, see the lies and turn this thing around. We seek your face Lord. Come quickly. In Jesus name, amen

  Good morning! How are we faithing? I have some thoughts and as I go to the Word I do get comfort that God has this all in hand. I don't always understand it but that's ok because my God is bigger than the view I have. My small place in this world is just as important to God but the big picture sees me as minuscule. That's not a put down to each of our importance but your and my input to reaching others to find Jesus adds up. You see, you are important to God and I would bet that person you lead to Jesus is pretty glad they met you. This goes the other way too when we knowingly sin and others don't see God but just like them. That is why we cannot be judgmental about anyone else's sin because it is different than ours. Oh we can spot it and take notice but not to chastise because we are no better or worse than them but as believers we must take control of our self so we don't steer the lost further away from the truth. Daniel spoke of us repenting from evil and a king of evil;

Dan 7:27
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Eventually we will have great position so rather than lamenting we don't have it here we ought to be learning and trusting God for everything so we are prepared for that time. Study Daniel and Revelation. Explore Ezekiel. Look beyond your woes to an infinite God who already has you in his hand. Trust that salvation Jesus gave and the grace that is upon you and don't whine over the things we face here because even The Christ was crucified.
 Rev 11:15
 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Heavenly Father,
   Help us see truth. Help us see that narrow path and not be pulled off course and impeded by earthly woes. Let us approach everything with the confidence that it already has be defeated and we have already won. Help us be calm and clear headed to see your ways. In Jesus name, amen

  Good morning! How are we faithing? Sad news last night about a comedian who fought addictions and depression his whole life and finally it seems he took his own life. People, stress and  depression are things that can kill you. We as a species can succumb to the effects of these things. Pay attention to your kids. Watch and listen to your friends. I see this all to often and it is sad. We've all had rough times, sad times, bad times and thank God we did not succumb but don't be to haughty to think you are not vulnerable. Our peace and our rest has to be with our savior. Our strength is from our God. Being able to look beyond ourselves is important and a first step to not succumbing to things like this.  If you are in this place, reach out! Cry to God! Call a buddy to pray for and with you! There are physiological reasons depression can get a hold of us. There are legitimate reasons for stress but I implore you to seek help! Don't become a statistic. There is no shame in seeking help. When you are at your weakest, our common enemy will attack harder, don't doubt me on this. Remind yourself with these;

1Th 5:9-23
  For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,  Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;  And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.  Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.  Despise not prophesyings.  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.  Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love for us even in our weakness. Forgive our sins . Cleans our hearts from all unrighteousness. Create in us a clean heart and mind. Speak truths to us and let us recognize the enemies lies. Grant us wisdom and courage to face everything in Jesus  name, amen

    Good morning! How are we faithing? I fear for the lost. I fear for the ones who followed Jesus at one time but fell away due to calamity, death, worldly catastrophes on anything that came against them that caused doubt to the degree they walk away from truth. I have had those things happen and I have backslid so I do understand. I had a talk with a friend recently who was going through some things and I had to be frank and tell him,"sucketh though it may you must remember previous victories because there is no reason to think this current situation isn't going to play out for our good if we continue to seek God's face." Here's what chills me to the bone;

Heb 6:4
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6  I
if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

If you are reading this and you even care enough to read this I assure you it ain't to late. I believe if it has gone as far as those verses, you wouldn't be reading this daily or even concerned about any of this but if you are under conviction and have strayed for whatever reason, come home.
Psa 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

lets pray;
Heavenly Father,
   Thank you for your gift of pardon. Forgive my sins. Lead me to the righteous holy path. Clear my mind of the enemies clutter. Help me forgive those who have squashed me. Lift our spirits up to your presence. In Jesus name, amen

   Good morning! How are we faithing? The previous posts this week were written in hopes of thought provoking.  I know I screw up regularly and sharing what the Word has taught, well, it keeps me humble when I do well. As we mature in Christ we find ourselves becoming less and less in importance and Jesus comes to the forefront. Anyone who thinks highly of themselves is about to face some of that humbling. Pleased with success, happy at ones status is all fine and good but haughty attitude, judgmental views on others is a recipe for a slap down and those times are usually very very rough. I would prefer to save all that slapping and just recognize reality from the start.  We've learned  and studied for years here and I do pray you have grown and gotten better. I am so far from where I need to be but I'm better than I was yesterday. As you finish your work week, take stock in all the blessings in your life. When you notice others stumbling, think how you can lift them up and not slap em when they're down....

Pro 27:1-2
  Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.  Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

Jas 4:13-16
  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:  Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.  But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

remember the Clawson family...remember the Rumers...remember CK...
Heavenly Father,
   Thank you for your wisdom and love for us. Help us recognize your plans for us. Help us see lessons and be quick to hear and slow to speak. Forgive our boasting. Lord we ask for your touch on these people listed today. Heal hearts, minds and spirits. Open eyes to your wonderfulness. In Jesus name, amen
