It's not uncommon to see American flags on fire apparatus.

On uniforms...

or even stickers, patches and badges.

Question 1 • Is the USA flag something that your department includes on your uniform and/or fire apparatus?

Question 2 • If you are not from the USA, does your department displays their countries flags the same as we do in the USA?

We do have American Flag stickers on our trucks. We dont have them on our uniforms. Hope to get them on there one day.
If you don't have a flag patch on your uniform then you have a flag pin or something that represents the flag on your uniform to show your prond of your country.
We only do flags on our apparatus during special events and holidays, because they tend to get dirty and torn relatively quickly and IMHO it is disrespectful to treat the flag that way. As for uniforms we do have a flag patch on our uniforms and some of our bunkers have a patch as well.

TCSS
Our 3 engines, the rescue and our tower all have a flag on them. Our uniforms have the flag patch on them as well. I added the American flag triangles that go around the top of my helmet.

Yes on the uniforms, no on the apparatus.

FWIW, the pic of the uniform the flag is backwards. ;)
my department is all volueteer we have uniforms they have the flag on them. all of our trucks have the us sticker on them on my helmet i have the maltise cross with the arizona state flag in it
Yes it is an honor to do so . We are proud of our flag....
Our ambulance paid staff shirts have our company patchon them and the center of the patch beind the star of life has a flag...Both fire dept's I run with display the flag on the trucks...our ladder is the only one with a full size flag that hangs off the back...
My dept does have flag decals on apparatus. We had a pumper back in the 70s that had a waving American Flag painted on the front of the cab. We had some depts paint the whole unit like the flag.
OUr dress uniforms have the American Flag on them
We have small flags on the bumper guides of 2 pumpers. We don't have them on our uniforms, unless you count our ID tags. Each member/employee's picture is taken with the National Colors as the backdrop.
We no longer fly the flag from our apparatus because they get too ratty looking too quickly. We do however have the U.S. flag on the tight sleeve of our uniforms (except the polo shirts).
