I came from a large department in New York
where we had 300 plus members. We also had
seven companies within the department. Each
company had a Captain & 2 lieutenants. The
department had as follows:
4- Chiefs
7- Captains
14-Lieutenants

In the small department i'm serving with here
in South Carolina, has approximatly 40 members.
We have as follows:
3- Chiefs
3- Captains
4- Lieutenants

So how many officers dose your department have ????

I think that is most departments!
Hey Steve, I take it that you are from a small department.
How many members do you have in your department ??
27 members total--- one chief, one asst. chief, two captains, three lieutenant's, two s.o's. (also a chief engineer, and a training officer)
We're in the neighborhood of 50 members, give or take a few. It fluctuates lol

Anywho Fort Bayou VFD currently has:

1 Cheif
1 Asst
1 Captain
3 Lieutenatns

We have a vacant captain slot currently but noone meets the bosses expectations of captain. We've only been Lt's for right about 2 1/2 years. We average about 300 calls a year for our area
Hey there Mick,

The company that I run with we have approx. 40 members

1 Chief
2 Deputy Chiefs
1 Capt.
2 Lt.s

Take care and stay safe out there
At my volunteer dept. we have
1 Chief
1 Ast. Chief
2 Dept. Chiefs
3 Capts.
40 FFs

Since we are a combi-dept. there is also a paid county Lt. and 1 FF 24-7
the department i'm with has
1- fire chief
2- ast. chiefs

we have six stations in the county with each stations should have captains and lieutenants but nit all stations have one or the other.

5-captains
3-lieutenants

all the station are vol. firefighters. the only paid guys we have are the chief and the two asst. chiefs.
