- I WAS AWARDED THE LIFE SAVING MEDAL FROM THE MALVERN POLICE DEPARTMENT IN 2003.
FIREFIGHTING IS WHAT I LOVE. I HATE TO SEE SOMEONES STUFF BURN, BUT I HAVE MADE IT MY HOBBIE TO HELP OUT. AS I LOVE TO HELP OTHER AT A TIME OF NEED. THIS IS MY WAY OF GIVEN TO THE COMMUNITY.

- Following my dads foot steppes. My dad is a retired Little Rock Capt. with 22 years in. He also was a F/F in the air national guard with 27 years served.

About the Perla Fire Department.
The Perla FD is the oldest all vol. deptartment in Hot Spring Co. Arkansas. Est in 1962. We have 10 active member. The department runs about 50 calls a year. Most our calls or first responder calls. 25% is mutal-aid calls. The City has a pop. of 140. The department budget is run from Act 836, State turn back money. Which is about $15,000 year. We have three Engine here.
E-1 is a '84 Mack chassie with a american-lafrance bed on it. It has a 1000 gpm pump and 500 gal of water.
E-2 is a '86 International chassie with a 750 gal tank of water and a compressed air-foam system on it.
E-3 is a '85 FMC, Ford 800. It has a 1000 gpm pump and 1000 gal of water.
