- Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We are located over 150-miles from the California USA and Mexico border where the epicenter was located. I just got back from camping in Death Valley, Ca. We did feel one aftershock. I have been camping in the past and have personally witnessed the ground rolling. Pretty amazing and scary. I have experienced several major eartquakes living in SoCal.
I retired as of 03-04-10. Hoping to visit Europe for the first time at age 56. It would be fun to meet in person someday my friend.
