About Me:: I am currently attend school to become a Firefighter/Pramedic but I have had 8 years already as Firefighter Explorer and then EMT-Basic. I already have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety but after 3 years of being a Safety Engineer, I realized my heart belonged with Fire/EMS

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: It's a family affair. My mom is on the board for her local department as a community member,youngest brother is training to become a Firefighter Explorer, uncle is a retired FF/EMT, and my aunt is a former EMS dispatcher

Thanks to my non-firefighter work schedule, I am getting close to making a tough decision on whether I should focus more on getting my paramedic training done first over my fire science degree. The fire science degree is 2 nights/week in another city that's almost an hour away. The pre-reqs I am finishing for my dream paramedic school is 2 hours away 1 day/week for 2 months.
