Steve things have been busy for us across the pond as we had a structure fire on Friday (2-11-2011) morning it was frickin down right COLD 22 below turned out it was a defensive attack and the bad thing about it, the house was my son's girl friend's parents house now that sucks and to top it off we lost a great paramedic from allied sat night as he was tending to a patient. Best wishes go out to you as you try to revieve the fire dept. Its nice to see that you have 7 new candidates in the academy. Our dept has has 5 candidates going through right now and we are all helping mentor them into their new career!! best of luck to you Brother!! Take care and be safe!!!

Steve, welcome to the group ,,,, it's a fun place & does have some interesting blog discussions but i also like seeing how other departments do the same thing ,,,, i also like looking at different styled apparatus's used all over the world ,,,, i'm a crash firefighter and we have some of the weirdest ,,,, word to the wise, if you trade patches be careful, there are a few people here that just want to get, then not send one back ,,,, i won't mail anything now till i have something in hand ,,,, my goal now is not to get a patch from you i do not collect them ,,,, (but i will trade duty tee-shirts from far away countries and that's how i got "BURNED", i sent the sleaze a tee-shirt & 3 patches and got nothing back ...) i'm just watch-n your back, something most of us on the job understand, it's a big part of what the brotherhood and the family is all about ,,,, if you wanna add me as a friend, great ,,,, if not, that too is OK because this message is intended to mostly welcome but also warn you at the same time ,,,,
