The sun is rising

The light is racing

across the land

Pushing darkness from my hands

I see the redness of blood

Dripping from my hand

I see the tears racing from your eyes

I pray for the darkness to hide me from

your eyes.

I can not cry for the blood on my hands

I tried so hard

I prayed deep inside

I hope I was not there

I hope it was a deep dark dream

But now I know it was not
