thanks for the subject it is my favorite subject in the mean time. i am looking for new SOP's from out side so do u like to extchange that on emails.

you might also want to look into changing it from SOP to SOG, because if you dont follow it to the point every call, and something happens then they will have a nice lawsuit... but if its SOG then its just guidelines... and they cant hold you responsible... like what i mean say you didnt follow your SOP for a certain call correctly then you could be up deep creek but, in the other case if it was SOG then they are just a guide... any questions write back

Hi mck306john, I just went back and was reviewing all the discussion I have responded to. Sorry I skipped this one early on .
. But in answer to your statement our SOP/SOG's are broken down in a different section but in one package.
. The SOG's have the following statement at the header: " SECTION 9 Standard Operating Guidelines {SOG’S}:

Standard operating guidelines are adopted and serve as the basic training guide for the fire department. When personnel are knowledgeable in the basic requirements and the sequence of events expected of them in performing their assigned duties, it will help make operations go smoother and safer.
These SOG’S may not cover all situations that maybe encountered and/or thrust upon the Clarendon Fire Department.
This section of SOG’S are intended for guidance of the entire fire department and are not expected to cover each specific act of duty."

We set them up this way for that reason. Stay safe, train often and share knowledge. Norm
