I found two web sites that have several examples of LODD SOPs.  This would be a good place to start (I am working one for my department as well and here is where I started).

on another forum there was a discussion of wearing uniforms at a funeral.

if the deceased is a uniformed member (FF/FP/EMS/POLICE or MILITARY) you should follow protocol and wear your uniform as well with the badge band as you are honoring the fallen and their familys!

but it is not a mandatory action.

some discourage the practice as they seem to feel it is just attracting attention.
