CHRISTMAS LETTER

Twas the night before our Savior's birth, all was quite through the land,

Not a sirens wail to be heard,

As we laid to rest, with sleep in our eyes and,

Dreams of shiny new engines in our bays,and shiny trucks too,

A minute or two before the stroke of twelve, such clattering of bells, alarms, often tell where to run,

As we, dashed from our sleep, throwing on our trousers as we ran,

We scrambled 'bout searching for boots, and coats too,

Thoughts of peril, and fright, we thought, what must be a terrible sight on such a night,

As the stroke of twelve we heard the words, clear and loud,

'PEACE ON EARTH GOODWILL TO ALL,ON THIS NIGHT,

CHRIST, OUR SAVIOR IS BORN,'

As we started for the doors, startled with such a tone to hear,

We stumbled forward to see such a sight of magnificent light to fill the air,

There in the distance was the sound of, not, a sirens, call beckoning call for help,but,

The host of 'HOSANNAS!,'the Angels sang ,'GLORY TO GOD!'

With sleep driven from our eyes, thoughts of bed flew from minds,

We rushed to see what greatness was, proclaimed,

So in Matthew 2:10&11, we read of wise-men coming from a “far,”

This our story, we tell of this wondrous night,

How “far-men” came to worshiped our Savior,

So as you read this, I hope and pray, the Prince of Peace, Emanuel,God Is With Us,

Will be your Partner too, as you continue in your work.
