SCBA

Hello,

I'm the Chief of a small VFD Here in Alabama , We are a all Volunteer Dept With Little funds and are in need of some SCBA's . If your dept or if you know of a dept that is selling scba's please let me know .

We are looking for some Scott Or MSA 2216 type scbas we are using some very old 2216 type packs and have the cascade system to fill the 2216 bottles .

Email me with any info that you have , We could really use around 4 to 8 Complete packs

Have you looked into Grants or tried contacting one of the SCBA manufacturers?

Grants are a no go at this time , At this the dept does not have the money to have some one write a grant and then match the grant . I'm looking at some of the places that sale SCBA's that are used and recondition ones . We hope to find something within out price range .

Chief, I've got 7 Ultralite II MSA scba's with masks, some have clip on pass's and some don't. Some of them the gauges on the regulators may not work. No bottles. They worked when we took them out of service. Price is free, you pay shipping. Need email address and I'll fill you in on the rest of the info.

Passed this along to my county's association of volunteer fire departments. My department uses Draegers and Survivairs, but some of the surrounding departments use Scotts and MSAs. If they have some to sell, I hope they get back to you soon, Chief Phillips.
