what do different colors of Fire helmets in your fire dept mean

in My station

White = chief, Deputy Chief, and Ass. Chief

Red = Captains

Blue = Lieutenants

Orange = Safety Officer

Black with green shield = sergeant

Black = just a firefighter

Yellow = Probies
