Fire 1: City of Eau Claire, WI.  2 story 8 plex older construction massive loss  Call came in just before 5 P.M. on 2/11/2012 units cleared at 11:15 P.M.

 

Fire 2: City of Chippewa Falls, WI. 3 story multi unit apartment complex with mixed occupancy connected by a 1st floor hallway to a 2 story complex.  Fire was in the 3 story complex on the 2nd floor in the trash room. Minor damage from fire but a lot of smoke damage. Call came in around 12:12 A.M. today (2/12/2012) and units cleared at 1:04 A.M.

 

Normally in this area (my area), once 1 dept gets a structure one of the other depts in the area are due to get one within a week. Looks like it happened again.

Thanks. The fire in my city early this morning is in the building connected to the one that just burned on Jan. 4 of this year and also that same building from Jan. 4 also had one on Aug. 6, 2009.  I am thinking something is fishy with these fires in these buildings.

Here are a couple of photos from my call in Chippewa.

 

  It doesn't usually work with are mutual aid depts. but we have an unofficial rule of 3's on our dept. where if you get a call whether it be a minor or major one you're gonna get two more to follow.  2 minor calls will be followed by a major call or 2 major calls will be followed by a minor call or any combo of minor/major calls but it usually comes in 3's.  Doesn't always hold true but 80% of the time it does. 

My area usually goes by the 3 rule too but for the last 3 months it hasn't really happened. I think that is a good thing. Thanks for the info.
