Welcome to the site and the BRC, Trey!!! Things have been a little slow around here lately, but that should pick back up soon, hopefully anyway!!

Go ahead and post on the discussion board on the main page for the BRC, too, as that is where most of the chatter takes place in here most of the time.

I am Trey from Clayton,NM. I am a Captain and soon to be EMS Supervisor as of 8-22-11. I have grown up in the fire service as my DAD was the Chief of Clayton Fire Rescue for 13 years, where I am proudly following in his foot steps. I love my job and look forward to meeting to new people who share the same passion as I do. Thanks for the warm welcome!!!!!

Congrats on your promotion in 2 days !!!

So what type of area is Clayton - desert? What type of calls do you manage? Is your department both fire and ambulance?

I grew up in a FF family too - more lateral than vertical lineage though. Are you related to anyone else on your department, or others?

Does it provide any benefits or challenges?

I remember spending a lot of time hanging around the fire station with my grandfather.
