8 Full Time Firefighters, with 2 Full time Capt. as well as an admin Staff of

Think on average each hall does around 200 calls per year, we do have some halls that do between 600 to 900 calls a year.

There are 9 fire stations strategically placed throughout the Town of Caledon, protecting a total area of 270 square miles. Each station services an 8 – 14 km area. In addition, the Town provides fire services to a portion of the County of Dufferin, protecting an 50 square miles.

Every Caledon firefighter is highly trained in fire suppression, specialty equipment, auto extrication, water rescue, rescues, first aid/CPR and defibrillation. A firefighter requires a DZ driver’s license. Training is done both in-house and at the Ontario Fire College.

I work full time for Mooresville Fire department in North Carolina. We are known for the nascar teams that have their shops in our town (known as Race City USA) We are located about 25 miles north of Charlotte NC. To date we have run over 1500 calls. We have 4 stations each have at least 5 men although station 2 has 7 men. The equipment we run with is:
Station 1: Brand new 2007 Sutphen engine (put in service this week), along with a Pierce 65ft stick- reserve, Ford Pick up and car seat trailer.
Station 2: 1977 Ford Howe as reserve truck, Pierce engine (unsure of year) and 110ft Sutphen Platform, brush truck, and service truck
Station 3: Pierce engine, HazMat1 on International Chasis, HazMat 2 Suburban, Air compressor trailer, inflatable boat, 2 Hazmat Trailers, Portable Command center, and Ford Pick-up to pull the trailers.
Station 4: Pierce Quantum engine.
