Does anyone know of a place or places that keep statistics on fire service mayday calls? For instance, the number each year, what types of structures, etc. I am doing some research for a training program.

Thank you for any help.

Check out NIOSH
No information on Mayday unless specific to a firefighter fatality that I could find. If you know more, let me know.

Thank you.

not sure if they have statistics but has alot of stories on them.
NIOSH and NFA/ USFA are the sites that come to mind, however just because a MAYDAY is called, doesn't mean that every call is recorded.

I guess the information which can be obtained from such sites show that a MAYDAY has occurred in all types of structures and during different events. Does it really matter the number called each year and the types of structures? In the end the final issue would be to know how to call a MAYDAY and how to mitigate vs statistics, just my opinion.
