New NYS Title?

Anyone framiliar with NYS changing Certified First Responers (CFR) to Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)?  I herd someone say something about this and was wondering if anyone could elaborate.

I know they changed or were at least talking about changing the title from EMT-Basic to just EMT but that's all I know
