I fought a big 2 story building fire, and although it was very cold I was warm untill I went into the building accross the street to take a break - when I went back out I got cold sooo fast
During the first part of the exterior attack I was manning a 65mm line and was frozen on the exterior but warm as toast. even my hands were warm. and I think it was about -35 C
no real tips other than to say if you come into warm up try to put on dry gear before you go back out again
Well i have to keep my turnout gear at my house in the winter, we have this bad curve on a state road between my house and town. and every winter we get atleast 2 mva's that block roadway, my capt. lives across the road from me so i don't have to drive to the accident ( less trafic ). Ya gotta love New York Drivers they never learn when to slow down
