After there have been three mall shoting's in three week's, is your dept. doing anything to prepare for something like that happen in your area? You may not have a mall, but most of us have a Wal-Mart, ect...

It's considered impolite to inquire locally, but I suspect that anyone shooting at our department would have a bad experience...
OTOH, wolves in this district have taken out livestock within 100 yards of homes, and concealed carry is only regulated in some cities, railroad camps, and other specific areas...
It's typically at least a 45 minute response if the deputy isn't clear down on the Idaho border when he gets the call...
The old timers in the district remember when dispatch would call us out on "Shots Fired" reports... fortunately they don't do that these days!!! -
