Check out this new multi-function tool that someone called the "coolest thing to hit the fire service since the halligan bar". It was developed by two Oklahoma City fire fighters. Paul Conway was so impressed by this that he purchased the rights to it. You can see it in action at www.thebowring.com. Let me know what you think.

Stay safe.

Pretty interesting Lee.....gonna have any of these to play with for USAR?
Looks like a good, compact & practical tool Lee, by the way I still love my Paul Conway gloves!
Already Bought one a few months ago, pretty awesome tool, Only never really got to put it through all its uses yet, Does work with hose tho.
Interesting and well thought multi-use device. We will only see more of this firefighter ingenuity now that many have the training and ability to "tool" new equipment. I went to the website and didn't see any specific strength testing results though. Most fire chiefs I deal with will say no to the lack of the industry standards stamp.
I would love to have one if only for the hose holding capabilities. This is probaby the best use that it's capabilities handle.Definatly would make life alot easier to backup a guy when there is 200 psi we all know what kind of a pain in the arse it is when a hose slides in your hands.Worth it's weight in gold and i think it will eliminate alot of fatique at those forever fires.
Any list price idea on this device?
Website is offering them at $125.00
All I can Say is WOW!!! The windsheild cutting is amazing! I'm going to get a set of these for my FF gear & my recreational arsenal.

We have already raised that same question. It sounds like we are not really going to be marketing it as a personal escape tool, but for all of the other features. That would be the only use that it has that would really need those kinds of specs.
