'Diaper Fetish' Firefighter In The News For Off-Duty Crimes - Is It Fair?
Do you think it is fair for a firefighter to be in the news (career or volunteer) for a crime they committed off-duty EVEN THOUGH the same crime by a regular citizen would not be reported the same because they are not public safety?
Is it fair to the department to be in the news because of off-duty actions by it's firefighters and paramedics?
Would love your insight. This stems from the arrest yesterday of a firefighter outside of Denver who reportedly has a diaper fetish and assaulted several women.

I think that it is a sketchy situation, because we are suppose to be public figures. I believe that this is a downfall to us, because we are known to help people not breaking laws. That is why it is more known when we make wrong decisions.

Fair or unfair doesn't matter.
We as firefighters/EMS personel are trusted more than any other public servant and are held to a much Higher Standard as we should be. Even if this person wasn't a firefighter I would hope the media would run this story just so the community would be aware this person is out there. If he's assulting women.....he's a predator.
