Why stop now.....

In regards to an earlier post in which the poster did not like the responses given because they were not in agreeance with his opinion, and he was unwilling to try to see other perspectives,After an outrageous post, such as his last one, in which he basically threw a rock at the bear then ran away, Really though, who yells obsenities at people then shuts off the replies. I feel that those in the conversation should be able to say their piece. Who am I, you ask? Just someone sticking up for the wronged. It's what I do.

This is just wrong. 15 years in the service, and this is how he talks to people?

I appologise if I'm doing wrong by posting this. And I'm pretty sure Mr. Webchief will get rid of this.. But,

No one should be banned. Let the reader decide to read or not read, that makes what we call free speech.

I think mostly it had to do both with his irrational rantings as well as his language. His last posts were rife with profanities and obscenities. This "site" prides itself on its "family values" and come-one-come-all open door membership. ~~Fog a mirror~~ Have internet access and you're a member.

Agreed Jack...I'm pretty liberal..but that guy had some deep issues that need to be resolved and not in these forums. Freedom of speech is one thing but his language was way off point and not needed here.
There are ways to get your point across,be it agreeing or disagreeing with the others here without posting it the way he was. Most people on this site believe in letting you have your say and respond responsibly even if they don't agree with what you are saying. My opinion the guy was wrong and had to go. I think if you go to the regs. for this site it will say something about type and tone of language.

Precisely. He's not entitled to free speech here, he's entitled to abide by the site's rules or suffer the consequences.

Having said that, I would not have banned him. I would have educated him. (Attempted to, at least).

I think anyone that had read his posts before they were removed would agree there was NO reasoning with this guy and trying to educate him on the site regs. would have been futile.

I read them. And you're almost certainly correct, but I (if I were the WC) would have given him a shot at redemption. (Even that scoundrel Mike Vick got one).

Well I believe we know which one this poster is. I am all for freedom of speech, however, there is a point where that freedom should end.

I evidently missed this particular thread (thankfully) and probably wouldn't have responded anyway. I suppose this poster should be thankful that his profanity was not used in public around underage children much like the ones we have on this site. I cannot speak for all states, but many have laws against using language like his around children. It can get one jail time (up to 1 year) in Texas. I can just imagine that someone who uses language like that is just a joy to be around every shift. I can imagine his patient care/people skills are top notch. NOT. And that's all I got to say about that.
