This my Old 5/A..
Color: it was red, yes it was on my head when it happened. The sheild is about the 6th or seventh replacement. It was custom fitted to my head and still fits 30 yrs later. Actually no one fire did all the damage, just years of protecting its owner. Now I'm old and fat and just sit back and remember the glorious "Old Days" with it.

Hahaha NO way thats no 5a Joe the helmet front holder is too long and the Ribs at 9 and 3 (6 and 12 are more hidden) are way to fat and dumb looking to be a 5a this is prolly a N6a< hahaha look below.....I will say this again Said it a thousand times Cairns has issues with peeling paint just like todays Cars do, because of epa paints suck ... if you want the paint to hold up before you put the helmet on line paint it... :) imagine !! .. I attached a couple pictures below of one of my 5 n5a's

Great pics of the Kentland helmet and 33 Wagon. Also great point mentioned about stickers and lights. You can always spot a rookie from all the stickers and lights on the brand new lid..
This is my Houston that I currently wear at one house I work at. It has been completely redone once and been painted a few times since been in service. I also have a New Yorker that I wear on the other rig I ride at the other house..
