These contractors just completed putting in concrete and steel barriers to prevent parking on the sidewalk in front of a bar.  How long do you think it will take them to notice where they parked their van?

At least the van won't be stolen during the night. Cannot guarantee the tools won't be stolen, though...
The word "just completed" is a big question mark for me unless you watched them work all day. You see in my professional size up, it appears there are some that haven't been cemented yet, the one closest to the building is smooth and flush to the cement tiles.
This is a funny pic LOL. If memory serves me right, the posts are removeable for easy replacment. I saw this pic a while back LMAO then and still did this time. One of my friends showed it to me and then explained how they are installed.
OMG

You are nuts... ROTFLMAO

You should get working on solving world peace with those highly scientific skills...

OMG

I AM LAUGHING SO HARD I CAN HARDLY TYPE...
Depending on the exact heigth of the posts and the mirrors, they make actually clear the posts over the top. Also it wouldn't surprise me to see a hasp for a padlock on the base of each post for easy removal. Given that this was obviously taken in Europe somewhere, the sidewalk is probably made of concrete pavers rather than of poured concrete as they are here in the U.S. Just like pavers you buy from Home Depot, the spaces between pavers are filled with sand and the wet area is probably from the workers cleaning up...sand is dusty and a little water settle sit downs nicely.

Probalby this job involved removing pavers where the posts would go, installing a "socket" for the post and replacing the pavers with a hole in the middle so the posts could then be slid into the sockets and locked with padlocks. There's probably a chain tp go go between posts as well, or perhaps the cafe owner will place planters between posts to define to outdoor seating area.

Although at first blush it looks like they have "paved themselves into a corner," I am sure they do this work on a regular basis and know how much space they need to get their van out, or know the posts are removable.

Greenman
the posts are shorter then the mirrors unless the fittin to put a lowering kit on the van before they go home ... the whole piont is to laugh at others stupidity and why would they put up trafic controle that you can drive through? But A+ for the scientific expo.. I still personaly feel the a couple of dummys
You would be surprised at how many world problems I have already solved.....most ideas and brainstorming, involved drinking, so not sure how serious the naysayers would take such irreputed hypothesis.

Glad you liked it.
alcohol and solving the worlds problems go hand in hand dont they?
Can't fix stupid.....

Gotta wonder if the boss kept them on the payroll...
roflmao, but if they do try to go between the post , the work van is the same color as the posts boss may never notice .
There is a message here... Never assume anything is one and Oldman's attitude and approach here sets an appropriate example for our younger company officers. Nice reply OM.
