alright i lied... by accident. we do have "bombs" but we never talk about them. i have never used. not sure what our actual plan would be. i brought it up to chief staff. they said we can talk about it. thanks guys!

We also use the Cup of water method, but most of the time the fire is out or has breched the chimney, and we have a full attic fire on our hands.

We are using Positive Pressure fans to put out chimney fires. No mess like the chemical bags and no one has to get up on the roof. Just remove the fire source in the fireplace, start up the PPV at the door and make sure every other opening is closed. Seems to work pretty well.

we also use a pan of water , throw it in and close the door if it is a wood stove (anything with firebox doors) as a start. Then follow up with a pressurized water extinguisher (from above if possible). We carry a chimney nozzle but have not deployed it yet usually the pan of water works. Once the fire box cools some we pull the fuel out and soak it. We also notify the homeowner to not use the stove again until the chimney is professionally cleaned and inspected.

Not sure we have ever seen an open fire place but if we did, we carry chimney sticks and a chimney nozzle.

we use a glass of water if we think at all there is fire in the attic we put some holes in the roof

WE USE DRY CHEMICAL BAGS, CHAINS AND WATER CANS IF WE NEED THEM. WE ALSO USE OUR OLD MSA FACE MASK WITH THE LOW PRESSURE TUBE SO THE SOOT AND SMOKE DOESN'T COME BACK INTO OUR FACE.
