Yes this is a group for collectibles. But what do you collect? There are the usual stuff-scale model engines/trucks. T-shirts seem to be popular as do department patches. But what do you collect. For me its just about anything that catches my eye. I have lots of scale models(hot wheels and such). Some shirts and patches. Lots of books. I know that they are not considered in the catagory but the info in them is valuable to me. Then there are the odd items.
An M&M Village Firehouse
M&M Fire Truck Dispenser(new this year)
Pez Dispensers (Emergency Heroes Series)
Fire Station Cookbooks
These are just a few off the top of my head. Shout out some of yours.
Ok here we go:
I've got tons of die cast fire vehicles (Code 3, Corgi, Solido, etc.), some old fire helmets, a few antique fire extinguishers, fire patches from all over the world, Red Hats of Courage figurines (gifts from my Wife), many photos and posters (some autographed, some not), and every single issue of Firehouse Magazine since I became a firefighter in 1994! Stay safe!
I also collect whatever catches my eye. I have a lot of toy trucks, most from gifts, and a few antiques. I have a few antique "fire grenades". I have some old brass fire extinguishers, soda acid and carbon tet. I have some old sprinkler heads. I have an old wooden hand pump from WWII. I also have a bunch of collectible figurines. I have some old medals and badges. You name it, I probably have one. I would really love to find someone who can estimate the value of some of my better pieces. Let me know if you can help.
