Sounds like certain members of my family..... Sheesh..... I wonder if the do it for the gifts.... lol
William,
Not only are the negative stereotypes misleading, so too are (your) positive ones.
Thinking outside of the box, creativity, problem solving, ingenuity are all traits that can be inherited or taught. Critical thinking skills, imagination and and education can go a long way toward developing those traits. Where you are is less important than the learning environment around you.

In other words, they ain't just for rednecks.
Mark;

I don't know about that city slicker comment. I have a number of friends in NYC, Philly, Boston and San Fran, other than they have great jobs, make decent money, have good/better/best education and are exposed daily to diversity, theater, art and a global culture, I'm sure they're no different from you local, run-of-the-mill redneck.
im from the south and i dont like the ppl tht say tht bcuz its racist and i dont think that they have the right to say anything unless they wanna get hit
It seems to be.
Not if you want to fight fire, the city is where it is at.
Salvation Army does that for us up here. Its a neccesity at 1am.
Thanks Jack, point well made. I thought the term was for union miner in the beginning. So all you rednecks, join a union and be a REAL redneck!
You have got it backwards, the union miners work the red bananas. The union miners were the rednecks.
