When I started out years ago,we still had a couple of demand model MSA packs. We had Survivair Sigmas for the past 14 years and just upgraded last week to Sperian Warriors.Just curious as to who uses what brands and likes and dislikes of any of them.
My department uses Drager. Been with them now for 12 yrs I suggest if you are in the market for new packs you at least try one. The wearability is far superior to any other pack, also the 5 sec bottle change is awesome.
There is no standard that states all cylinders of certin psi have to enterchange if they are up to nfpa code thats the only code on them, also I know a department that has the hookups for their airbags it maybe your airbags that are the problem I'll try to find out what type airbags or adapters they have for you.
Ringgold that would be very helpful we have spent alot of time tring to fix this problem. We have sent the airbags off to are supplier to see what they can do. They sent them back and said they could not fix them. The supplier tried a couple of different packs on are bottles, they did not match either.
We are afraid someone will pick-up one of the old bottles to use on there pack in the heat of the moment. I believe we are going to buy the working air bottles to get them off are truck. Are airbags are Vetter so if you can help we would be very greatful. We could use the cascade but it would cut back on the mobility of are bags.
THANKS John
we used Scott but we have MSA pak now. I don't like MSA much Iwould rether use Scott's agian one of the reason we switch was the dealer was in are area and all the other co use MSAs.
In Australia I used to wear the Sabre model packs which were archaic in comparison to what we have here, wasn't a fan...
Don't forget that we (response agencies and manufacturers) have come a long way since the Sabre Centurions.
In today's standards they are archaic, but in their day, there were good units...
We use ISI. I have been on a department which used MSA. I liked the MSA harness/cylinder better than the ISI but I personnally like the ISI masks much better than the MSA.
