How Was Your Day?
I Just spent 15 hours on a wildland fire, got home, shower'd up, went on a structure fire 5 min later, then ran an EMR on a young girl as i enterd my door....it's nice to be home.......

good lord man... you must be exhausted! hopefully the structure was a no brainer and the ems call... that's a story that still awaits being told... keep up the good work brother, it's dedication and commitment like yours that saves lives. or at least that's how I see it... :D CBz

There was a brush fire...approx 6 hours to get under control and then in the middle of that a barn fire (20000 bales of hay)....give you any hints how the day went...? LOL

thanks Mike. and when hay bales go up its no picnic, we get them big round ones here and have to roll them out to put them out, hope all went well..probly got to go relive other departments again today on that brush fire. I never seen so many other departments in one place before, met some good folks though. didnt realize how many volunteer departments there was in oklahoma, plus all the ones that came from arizona and new mexico, texas...all of them giving their all to help out... great being part of such a dedicated family...enjoy the rest of the weekend......and that girl turned out fine but no word on why she just blacked out and injured her back?.....

Busy shift for me as well, I worked a trade time and was on Ladder 2 we had 11 runs and working fire, we did outside vent and the cut the roof, they guys did a good job.

The shift above was the second day of a 48 hour double, we had an 18 run shift on my regular assignment Engine 3, with a kitchen fire included. I was gassed.

We had a call for a fire on the side of the Hwy at around 21:00 then we got called for storm spotting and while we did that we got called to a "out of control brush fire" that turned out to be a house and shed that was bulldozed and pushed over the edge of a 20" cliff that was "struck by lightning" (says the home owner). We got back to the station at around 02:30 and cleaned the trucks and hoses, as we rolled the hoses up and got a medical call at the edge of the jurisdiction. I got home at around 05:00.
