HELLO EVERYONE,I have been having a discussion with fellow firefighters on my department about wearing reflective vests while on accident scenes, some people feel since our turn-out gear is pretty well reflective already is there a need to where them to? any advice would be appreciated thanks.
In Australia, we have an Australian Standard that specifies both day and night hi-vis gear. This is for all industries, including emergency services.
In our case, our overalls meet both the day and night requirements of that standard. (As can be seen in the picture above).
Anyone who thinks their standard turnout gear is adequate for both day and night roles, is mistaken and uninformed.
There is more to visibility than just the reflective stripes. There's the pattern of the stripes, the colour of the stripes, the positioning of the stripes, the colour of the background material and so on.
Well, Jack, I'm happy to hear that you knew that you knew what you knew. So now you know what you knew you can sleep peacefully knowing that your knowledge of knowing and memory of fact retention are still intact. That hurts. Not even sure if it makes sense anymore. heheh.
I agree with you, Jack. I don't see it as a violation either, as long as the search is limited to phone calls and text messages and the time of the last call/text.But, as mentioned, there are many types of cell phones and Ipad-ish units out there that hold a lot of personal info. That would fall under the need for a warrant, to me.
I too, found the articles interesting. I'm glad you brought it up, otherwise I may have never looked into it. Now I just have to search how it pertains to us up here in Can. I can only assume that it would be similar, and would expect it as so.
