allowing jrs to ride the apparatus.
hi everyone.i am writing this to see if anyone an help me find info on the age andwhat restrictions there are for the jr fire fighters in the state of pa.my bc is trin to get info. and i have a few ideas on the laws but would like other peoples input on this topic.
i think that jr members under 16 are not alot to ride the rigs but could be wrong.i would be greatfull to any help in regards to this topic thank you

well with jr members i do believe that under 16yrs of age are not allowed to ride on the rigs. do to insurance issues. but the thing is if they cant ride on the rigs how are they gonna get to the location of the emergency? and how are they to learn what to do on location if they cant ride?

check with your insurance carrier as far as I know jrs are not allowed to ride in apparatus in emergency mode in PA If you contact your local state rep ask for PA emergency service laws guide and volunteer emergency services manual these will help with your questions

in the emergency services law book part xiii pg 357 covers minors and pg 98 in the manual covers them also your company sop/sog's should cover the does and do nots for your jrs hope this helps
