hey everone my name is chris i have been volunteering for 2 yrs now and i enjoy it a whole lot i would like to see what kind of different color trucks there is out there we 3 yellow trucks 1 engine 1rescue and 1 tanker.
My dept has yellow trucks (more of a yellow green than dark yellow).
Our "new" pumper is red though... we bought it used from a department that has red trucks and we don't have money to "waste" on repainting it to yellow. Just put the department logo on the cab doors.
We have:
1 pumper,
1 tanker (vaccum fill - speedy 6 min fill!!!),
1 equipment van,
1 4x4 wildfire compact pickup,
1 HD pickup with a pull-out "snuffer" mini pump.
Our neighbouring department is changing away from red (still have three red trucks) and going to white... station 1 trucks are white with a big red stripe, station 2 is white with a big blue and small gold stripe. Station 3 has one of the old red tankers and a brush truck I've never seen LOL.
Our trucks are white and red. 1 command unit, 4 engines, 4 grass trucks, 1 rescue, 1 heavy, 1 rescue boat(black ZODIAC), 1 dive trailer, 1 tanker, 1 wildland, and "Squad" (used to haul extra guys if needed, or for traveling to trainings). We are a city and rural department in one.
