OK so recently I have come across a topic inside of a topic dealing with the color of air cylinder on our S.C.B.A. and of those colors what one or combo of colors is best.

In case you are still wondering this is a joke but still I think it would be interesting to find out I for right now am going with White as the color of shoice becuse of heat absorption but I am leaning towords chrome plated tp reflect the heat (Thank your Cpt. Busy for the idea)

Red, White and Blue....those colors never run..........
That was I had as a rook, still use one for a work out.
What about "see-through" so you can SEE if there is air in the tank!!!!
I did not know there were different color scba cylinders...The dept's in my city paint the top of their cylinders different colors (blue, red, green, etc.) to indicate that they cylinders belong to each respective dept based on the color. I figure as long as they cylinder serves its purpose its good by me!
I perfer blue but then that's what the dept. bought and I don't have 5000 dollars to buy my own LOL.
Wow man, I'm using florescent colors, man. And I got a battery operated blacklight, and it's like wow man. I have Led Zeppelin in my IPOD to like get in the mood, and like mellow out.
I think the bigger question is: Has the winter air been changed out to summer air.
Yes, did it yesterday....30 weight air was put in.....
Does it really matter!!??! As long as its not empty when I enter a building thats all I worrie about!
Well, winter air is cold and cold air is heavier so I'd rather go in with warm summer air, the tank will be lighter.
Even with cold air being heavier one wonders, if the cold air would not help some of the heat related issues we have with bunker gear?
I was of course being facetious but, refrigerated air.........interesting, very interesting.
