Damn ... grind down a lot of records in your time buddy?!
Of course you have my permission. Meatloaf has a lot of good songs for the fire service. Hot summer night for those saturday night car crashes. For crying out loud for the 3am calls or the 10th call of the day. I'd lie for you (and that's the truth) when you're having to bail out one of your buddies after a call. Oh yea I'm a big meatloaf fan.
All I need to hear are the tones, then the wail of the "Q" and air horns, and Sirens Yea baby yea. LOL
In the theoretical of course...

Fires

Rodney Atkins
If You're Going Through Hell

If you're going through hell
keep on going, don't slow down.
If you're scared, don't show it.
You might get out
before the devil even knows you're there.

Yeah, if you're going through hell
keep on moving, face that fire.
Walk right through it.
You might get out
before the devil even knows you're there.

EMS calls

This always runs through my head because I sang it all the way from one hosp to another with a head injured 18 mo (not mine)

Shania Twain
You're Still the One

Looks like we've made it
Look how far we've come my baby
Thanks ... will put it out there this morning!! Also am a fan of Meat Loaf's music.
for sure!! I'll work on that one and get back to you
Songs are for the videos after the call. The only song I want to hear is the dispatcher update or my all time favorite, "First officer on the scene report". You all know this one. "WORKING FIRE- 2 STORY WOOD STRUCTURE- THRU THE ROOF-RESIDENTS MAY STILL BE INSIDE" and the chorus "AH SHITTTTTT......HERE WE GO"
And to this, we all wish we were hearing, "Brick House, mighty, mighty ..."
NONE. If you are in my apparatus as the Engineer, its a quick walk around to make sure compartments are secure, personal equipment in cab, seatbelts of all members are secured before truck is dropped into drive, and your head is on a swivel for other vehicles/hazards. Officer will take care of radio-which will be the 800 mhz on fire main channel, unless otherwise noted. Safety First. Oh yeah, when we get back to the station, the house radio comes on and we all sing together..."fire truck, fire truck, I wanna ride my fire truck".
How about for spring break bunch of college kids singing "we didn't start the fire" by Billy Joel. "Nuthin' but a good time" by Poison when going to training burns. Vixen's "edge of a broken heart" for interior attacks. "It's all about the benjamins" for the paid firemen come payday. "This is how we do it" for friday night car crashes. I'm still thinking I mean we can't play the same song over and over you gotta mix it up a little bit.
Billy Joel's song is the theme song for our Fire Marshall!! LOL!!
I can't help but think of fire marshall Bill from Mad TV: " Let me show ya somthin!!!"
