Looking at your profile, noting that you are 17, means that your body should not be having these types of issues already. Not knowing your history, it stands to reason that you first need to make an appointment with your family physician. Explain what happened and see if physical therapy is required to strengthen up specific muscles and tendons that are suppose to hold things in place. You may be directed to have a MRI, which may or may not show why there was a problem. The same goes for getting an ultrasound, but these are very good diagnostic tools that can identify what was ripped or damaged, and how severe. You just might find yourself getting orthoscopic surgery and getting what ever is damaged, repaired. What is a waste of time however is waiting to talk to an EMT. I am an EMT, in fact, I was certified as a paramedic, but you have to understand that an EMT focuses on emergency medicine, not physical therapy to prevent injuries. EMT's training levels are nothing close to PT's, which it sure sounds like you need. Best of luck to your injury and assumed repairs.
