I would like to start this off by looking at this picture and what I would like for everyone to do is tell me everything you see on what is being done wrong or right and what is missing and needs to be added. And as we go along we will get into Different types of nozzles some that are old and some that are new, and if anyone has some insight for the rookies in here please share. Remember Knowledge is power, and with that knowledge it keeps you and everyone else safe.

It's a very good technique, and as well as what Chief Norman said, it also gives the backup man more leverage, taking even more weight from the nozzle pressure off of the nozzleman.
no scba; way to close; if on a roof, they shouldn't be standing the way they are; nozzle man has the hose wrapped around himself and is wasting water. hard to tell if his facesheild is down.
I call it a water-wall.
There's also a different type of piercing nozzle, it does not attach directly to a 1 3/4 line, like the ones you've posted Chief Norman, instead it clips into a navy nozzle. This is the type that my department has. I can't find any pictures of it though.

Ok, here I found the Navy Nozzle, I still can not find a picture though of the type of piercing nozzle that clips into it. But it connects into the top hole of the nozzle shown here.

Doug if you can find a picture please share your knowledge with everyone on its operation...Thanks brother...

Sorry guys I have no other pictures to show these nozzles in operation but these are your water wall nozzles...
Hell, I might just head down to the station and take the pictures myself :)

Monitors or what some may call master streams. Can anyone tell me what these types of nozzles main purpose is?
Your right Jeff there not wearing a SCBA but lets just say there training...But good eye brother...
I've been told they can also be used effectively on chimneys. Never had the need to test out that theory.
I've always felt that the pistol grip made for lazy hoze handling.

Chief here is a picture to support your theory...Kind-a-funny...
