I really liked Breckenridge as a stand alone resort but the Town of Park City is hard to beat with it's three resorts side by side and everything they have to offer.

Never did Sugarbowl but did do Northstar.
Killington Vt. is my favorite to date, however, I would like to try some western skiing sometime as a comparison.
I grew up skiing 7springs PA. The year I grad. HS I went on my first trip to the west coast! Spent 3 days in Breckenridge CO. From there I spent a month skiing in the Wasch Mtns. in UT. Then traveled to Truckee CA. for a month. With in the 2mos. I spent on the west coast my live changed for ever! I took a whole new look on skiing!!! For the next 3 years I took the CO,UT,CA trip with a few stops on the east coast in PA,NY,MD,and VT. Then one day I woke up and drove to Truckee CA Where I took up residence for 3 AMAZING years!!! Skiing is a way of life!!!! When out on the hill no body cares what you do or how much money you make its all about the stoak for the hill!!!!!
Northstar is a fun hill!! I had a pass there for 5 seasons. The cool thing abo N.Star is when the rest of the Tahoe basion is on wind hold northstar is turning the chairs!! I was a pass holder @ Sugarbowl as well. Sugarbowl is a local mtn. Where you can get freshies days after the storm!!
Your living my dream!
I am very partial to Mary Jane, in Winter Park, CO. I love skiing the glades, and there always seems to be fresh powder in the Parsenne Bowl.
I also enjoy A-Basin and Loveland ski areas. Nothing like hitting Pallavicini once or twice to get your heart rate up.
Sierra Tahoe , Heavenly , Jay Peak , Mt Hood , Tremblant , Startton and of course Snowshoe/Silver Creek
I liked Winter Park also but not a bog fan of the bumps. Mary Jane is a bitch, as they say. Loved Parsens bowl.
I know I'm not the norm, but I Love A Basin. No lines, great snow, and you can still sit in the parking lot and have a beer when you are done! Living in WI though, don't get to CO often. Favorite around here for me would be Lutzen. Big mountain skiing without the 15 hr drive.
well I never got to just ski alot of places because I have a quite a long career in ski racing but my favorite place to race was Aspin, lutsen mountains had quite a few spring races there (nothing like skiing in the rain) , steamboat, and to finish it up lochlomand (sp?) in canada it was like -60 an we still raced what an event, it really showed who had heart
